The Cross-Industry Initiative (CII) for Better Regulation in Chemicals Management hereby invites you to participate in the next session of its REACH-OSH Forum, which will take place on 28 November from 10:30 to 12:30 CET.

 

The aim of this Forum is to provide an informal platform for Member State experts, the European Commission, industry representatives, and other relevant stakeholders to exchange views and discuss solutions to clarify the REACH-OSH interface.

 

The keynote speakers for this session are:

  • Otto Linher, Senior Expert, REACH Unit, DG GROW, European Commission

    Otto Linher is a senior expert in the European Commission, DG Internal Market, Industry, Enterprise and SMEs, REACH Unit. He deals with the implementation of the EU Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability and, in particular, the planned revision of the REACH Regulation. Previously he dealt with the implementation of the REACH regulation, especially files related to authorisation, restrictions and the relations to the European Chemicals Agency, competitiveness aspects of the chemicals industry, classification, labelling and packaging of chemicals, waste legislation and a number of other environmental files.

  • Marian Tanase, Policy Officer/Seconded National, Health and Safety at Work, EU-OSHA Unit, DG EMPL, European Commission

    Marian Tanase is in charge of contributing to the development and implementation of policy initiatives and monitoring policy developments in the area of occupational safety and health, with focus on chemicals policy. Before joining DG EMPL, he served for almost 19 years within the Romanian Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity as European Affairs Councilor gaining in-depth knowledge of the structure and functioning of various National and European stakeholders and policy initiatives in the field of OSH.
    With a background in Occupational Health and Safety and European Affairs, Marian earned a “Material Sciences Engineer Degree” and a Post-University Master degree in “Business Administration” at the “Politehnica” University in Bucharest.

  • Dominik Pisarek, Head of Chemicals Supervision Department, Provincial Sanitary and Epidemiological Station of Warsaw, Poland

    Dominik Pisarek coordinates the tasks of the State Sanitary Inspection in the Masovian Voivodeship related to chemicals control, including REACH, CLP, BPR, CPR, and detergents. Previously, he served as the Vice-Chair of the Biocidal Products Regulation Subgroup (BPRS) within the European Chemicals Agency and authored training programs for supervisory authorities across the European Union. From 2019 to 2022, he was the Polish representative on the REACH Committee of the European Commission. He holds a degree from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Warsaw University of Technology.
