Following the publication of the final opinion of the Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) and the draft opinion of the Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) on the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) restriction proposal on 26 March, we will host a webinar presenting the key elements of both opinions.
The webinar will explain the conclusions reached so far by the two Committees, on the hazards, emissions and risks of PFAS, the risk reduction potential of the proposed restriction and the socio-economic impacts, including the availability of alternatives and possible derogations. It will also outline the next steps in the REACH restriction process. This webinar will not cover the on-going consultation on the SEAC draft opinion, as this was already done in a previous webinar in October 2025.
We will explain:
- The main conclusions of RAC’s final opinion
- The key elements of SEAC’s draft opinion
- What happens next in the process
Who should attend?
All interested parties, including manufacturers, importers, downstream users, industry associations, consultants, non‑governmental organisations, authorities and other stakeholders who wish to understand the PFAS restriction opinions and the next steps in the regulatory process.
What you will gain
By the end of the webinar, you will:
- Be familiar with the main findings of both Committees’ opinions
- Know how the restriction process will continue and what to expect next
